SITEK demonstrates how to remove and reinstall the SITEK SlickDevice™ SRD Controller — a powerful upgrade for legacy PSC 101 units. With only two tools and five minutes, you can get your Spin Rinse Dryer running smarter and more efficiently.

This article walks you through the step-by-step process of removing and installing the SITEK SlickDevice™ Controller—a plug-and-play upgrade for the legacy PSC 101 SRD controller. This controller is packed with modern features including N₂ Saver Options, SECS/GEM compatibility, advanced diagnostics, and more.

Total Time: ~5 minutes

Tools Needed:

  • Medium flathead screwdriver
  • 5/16” nut driver

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Remove the back panel
Start by removing the back panel of the SRD to access the controller and its connections.

2. Disconnect the grounding wire
Using the 5/16” nut driver, loosen and carefully remove the grounding wire nut. Set the nut aside to avoid losing it.

3. Disconnect the connectors (right to left):

  • Twist off the high-voltage and low-voltage umbilical connectors.
  • Use the flathead screwdriver to loosen the screws on the light tower and 50-pin connector.
  • Gently pull the connectors free.
  • Disconnect the resistivity probe (older versions may require an adapter, which SITEK provides with your upgrade).

4. Release the slide lock
Loosen the slide lock to allow removal of the controller.

5. Remove the controller
Slide the old controller out completely.

Reinstallation Steps

6. Slide in the new SlickDevice™ controller
Carefully insert the new controller into the slot.

7. Tighten the slide lock
Secure the controller by tightening the slide lock.

8. Reconnect all cables (left to right):

  • Connect the resistivity probe (align pins correctly).
  • Connect the light indicator cable and tighten screws.
  • Attach the 50-pin connector and secure it with the flathead screwdriver.
  • Reattach the high-voltage and motor controller umbilicals.

9. Reinstall the grounding wire
Hand-tighten the nut, then use the 5/16” nut driver to finish securing it.

10. Final check
Ensure all connections are tight and the controller is firmly in place.
